A former member of our church is a missionary pilot/mechanic with Mission Aviation Fellowship. He was born in Columbus and his family moved to a suburb northeast of Cleveland where he has spent most of his life. Saved at the age of 6, baptized at 7, he felt called into missions soon afterward.
Once he graduated from home school, he learned how to fly and then attended the
School of Missionary Aviation Technology to obtain his A+P mechanic's certificate.
He started working on airplanes and continued earning pilots certificates for several years. All this time he was active in his local church and continuing his education.
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is an evangelical missionary organization that is passionate about seeing individuals, communities, and nations transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Using aviation, communication and other technologies, they place Christ centered staff worldwide to partner with over 600 different missionary and humanitarian aid agencies.
Our missionary is serving as both a pilot and aviation mechanic. Some of his ministry will involve helping
those who need medical attention by flying them to a hospital or flying in medical supplies to
remote and poor villages. He will also help in development work by flying in resources and other missionaries.
Prayer Targets
- Pray that God would lead our missionary to the prayer and financial ministry partners that God has already prepared for him.
- Pray that the rest of the monthly support needed would come in soon.
- Pray that God would be at work in the hearts of those he will minister to.
