Serving the Women of Central Ohio
Pregnancy Decision Health Centers is in its 28th year of providing alternatives to abortion to women in central Ohio. All of PDHC's services are free and confidential and include the following: 24-hour hotline, pregnancy testing, ultrasound, physician consultation, material aid for mother and baby, referrals for community resources, adoption support, abstinence training, and post-abortion healing workshops. Trained volunteers serve as client consultants on both the hotline and in client offices. Volunteers are also needed to help behind the scenes with office support and special events.
Thanks to your support, we receive personal testimonies, like the following, that was submitted from a client who was seen last year at the PDHC office on Cleveland Ave.
"My husband and I were expecting to live fine with our one child. Then, I had gotten sick, so I thought. I took a home pregnancy test that came back positive. My husband was furious and he wanted me to terminate the pregnancy. So, I called PDHC and went and consulted with a lady there, Joann Spain. She helped me out because I wanted my child, but my husband didn't. We took a pregnancy test and had an ultrasound. When my husband saw the heartbeat of our baby, immediately his mind was made up. He said, 'Oh, no, no, no, I can't kill my baby. That's murder.' I felt like crying."
"Though times were tough, he went with me to all my doctor visits and when he found out he was having his first daughter, he changed inside, little by little. He experienced my delivery and the birth of our daughter. He was scared right along with me."
"That ultrasound saved my family from parting. My husband never held my son when he was a baby. But his daughter, he holds and picks up. She has balanced our lives, our marriage, and each other. He now helps with both kids and is a good provider. PDHC has changed our lives for the good. Thank you from both of us."
